The Canada Greener Homes Loan offers a 10-year interest-free financing opportunity for all Canadians looking to enhance the energy efficiency of their homes by installing a solar panel system. This new program complements the Canada Greener Homes Grant, which provides up to $5,000 in funding for energy efficient home upgrades for Canadian homeowners.
The Canadian Government has recently introduced the "Canada Greener Homes Grant" with the aim of increasing the efficiency of households across the country. Under this grant, homeowners can receive a subsidy of $1 per watt for their solar installation, up to a maximum of $5,000. Additionally, this grant can be utilized in conjunction with other local government grants.
he City of Edmonton has bumped up its solar rebate incentive for residential solar system installations to $0.40/W through the Change Homes for Climate Solar Program (CHCSP), up from the previous $0.15/W. Under the CHCSP, eligible residential homeowners can receive up to 40% of the installation costs or a maximum of $4000 per application, whichever amount is lower.
